Heli-Union Training Center (HUTC), the helicopter training school of Heli-Union is located at the airport of Angoulême (Brie-Champniers) in the Charente region. This helicopter base was selected on the grounds of its favourable weather conditions and its geographic location in mid-Western France. 15-km away from the town center of Angoulême, 2 hours and 15 minutes away from Paris on the high-speed train (TGV), at the junction of two major national roads (N40 / N41), the airport also offers a daily airline service to Lyons, the second largest city of the country.
