Our helicopter services
|
Heli-Union implements air commercial transportation services and aerial work operations (sling, seismic activities, …) on behalf of oil and gas companies to support their drilling and exploration campaigns and development activities.
Air travel by helicopter is often seen as an appropriate and economically viable means of transport to allow for drilling operations from offshore rigs or very isolated onshore sites.

Heli-Union has been carrying out helicopter operations over a number of years in the Gulf of Guinea and the Angola basin (Western Africa), in South America and, more recently, in Northern Africa and in the Middle East.
Heli-Union usually delivers a turn-key service to its customers: lease of a helicopter (or several), the crew (captain, co-pilot) and the engineering team.
The crew are responsible for helicopter operations and particularly flight safety. Engineers are in charge of the online maintenance and answer for the airworthiness of the aircraft (aeronautics engineering, avionic systems, electrical network, electronics).
This personnel is based abroad on a 4- to 8-week rotation basis.

|
Ahead of a mission, Heli-Union must make sure that appropriate facilities are available on site and local personnel can be found to help run our local base (maintenance work, radio operations, administrative tasks).
As a commercial carrier, Heli-Union is accountable for the compliance of aeronautic operations with the national regulations. Therefore, the relevant licences and authorities must be sought from the local civil aviation authorities and the relevant Ministry.

As a result of this full service, all the customer needs to do is to take / pick up its personnel to / from Heli-Union's base.
