SAFETY : THE FIRST COMMITMENT OF HELI-UNION

The safety of our passengers and personnel is a key factor in our activity of public transport and aeronautic operations. Thanks to an anticipating and preventing approach, Héli-Union aims at excellence regarding the training and skills of its experts who work on equipments and aircrafts of advanced technology.


A CULTURE SHARED WITH OUR CUSTOMERS

The will of Héli-Union is to fulfil its Customers needs in order to generate, on the long term, the resources necessary to preserve its operation. The satisfaction of our Customers relies on the quality of services provided on the commercial, technical and operational as well as administrative plan. Héli-Union commits itself to develop and normalize a transparent and positive communication.

Moreover, the high standards imposed by Authorities on our whole activities add up to the requirements inherent to each customer.


QUALITY : THE CENTRAL POINT OF OUR DAILY PREOCCUPATIONS

The Quality approach of Héli-Union surrounds all performed activities. It is the focal point of each actor in the following fields :

  • Flight safety and aircraft navigability (the risks regarding operations are continuously apprehended, assessed and controlled)
  • Personnel safety and health (all known means are used to prevent any risks inherent to the working environment)
  • The organization and internal functioning of the company.

ENVIRONMENT

Héli-Union's goal is to reduce the impact of its operations on the ecosystem of host countries, maintaining efforts to comply with following guidance :

  • Moderation of water and energy use, in order to reduce its carbon footprint
  • Minimising waste production,
  • Carrying out selective waste sorting to expand its recycling potential

PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT

The Assurance Quality System of Héli-Union is constantly focusing on the improvement of all services provided by the company. Audits and Quality indicators are performed to control that they meet the Customers and Authorities requirements.


COMMITMENT OF MANAGEMENT

The very competitive environment in which Héli-Union evolves doesn’t affect the priorities of the company that are safety of exploitation, respect of regulations and satisfaction of our Customers.

I commit myself to take all dispositions and provide all necessary means for the implementation of the defined QSHE policy and to control it’s efficiency. SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM :
SAFETY POLICY

I - STATEMENT

The safety of passengers and personnel is the main concern of HELI-UNION. This essential value stands for a priority within the company and presides over all our procedures.

Focusing on a constant improvement of the safety level, HELI-UNION Safety Management System (SMS) relies on a global analysis of the risks which engage all the company's actors.


II - AIMS

The SMS aims at developing the safety culture and is based on an anticipating management of the risks.

The main purpose is to restrain the situations that may lead to operational risks to an acceptable level (ALARP - As Low As Reasonably Practicable) in order to reach the highest safety level.

A range of SMS performance criteria are therefore regularly analyzed.


III - APPROACH

The SMS keeps with an approach of constant improvement and applies to all activities of HELI-UNION :

  • Air transport
  • Maintenance
  • Logistic support
  • Airworthiness management
  • Pilot training and helicopters maintenance training

IV - RESPONSIBILITIES

Each manager is in charge of the good execution of the SMS in its field and ensures incident and accident prevention, in a non punitive work environment.

We therefore encourage each operator of HELI-UNION to use the enclosed documentation to point out every significant hazard or preoccupation regarding safety, in order to achieve a safe and secure environment.

V- COMMITMENT OF MANAGEMENT REGARDING SAFETY

The General Management commits itself to provide the necessary human and financial means in order to make sure that all our aeronautic activities achieve the highest performance level regarding safety and meet the national and international standard.
